Oceanside CA— ’Tis the Season to Shop Local is a fun, distinctly local holiday celebration inviting our community to explore Oceanside retail establishments and to shop local this holiday season. From Small Business Saturday, Nov. 30, through the South O Walkabout on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2019, this unique and dynamic lineup of holiday programs and events will feature a shopping passport, a craft beer and wine tasting event, a makers fair offering handcrafted goods, and a tree lighting celebration — all amid decorated shop windows, the glow of holiday lights and the cheerful sounds of live holiday music and carolers.

Shop Local Holiday Passport Program
Nov. 30-Dec. 11
Shop local for the holidays and win! Whether you’re a longtime O’sider or just visiting for a few days, pick up an official Shop Local Holiday Passport highlighting all participating Oceanside businesses. Shoppers earn one stamp for visiting any participating location listed on the passport and a second stamp for making a purchase of $20 or more. After receiving 10 stamps, shoppers can submit their completed passport at MainStreet Oceanside, California Welcome Center – Oceanside or Reap & Sow for a chance to win gifts from local businesses and new premium prizes provided by the San Diego County Community Enhancement Program. The passports will be available at all participating locations. Oceanside businesses are encouraged to apply to participate on ShopLocalOceanside.com through Friday, Nov. 1. Prize drawings will be held weekly. All completed passports must be submitted by Friday, Dec.13, at noon.
Sip & Shop Downtown Oceanside
Nov. 30, 1-4 p.m.
Join us as we kick off ’Tis the Season to Shop Local with this walkable Downtown Oceanside shopping experience. On Small Business Saturday, enjoy 1- to 3-ounce tastings from your favorite Oceanside brewers, wineries and craft beverage makers while you explore downtown shops and listen to live holiday music. Fill up a Shop Local Holiday Passport along the way, receiving up to two passport stamps per Sip Stop. On sale now, tickets are $20 in advance or $25 the day of and limited to 250. Merry Makers Fair

Come discover an array of handcrafted and artisanal goods by area makers at this free, two-day holiday pop-up market in Artist Alley in Downtown Oceanside. Shoppers can browse jewelry, photography, art, candles, macrame and more while getting their Shop Local Holiday Passport stamped and listening to live holiday music. Area makers are encouraged to apply on ShopLocalOceanside.com through Friday, Nov. 1.
’Tis the Season Window Decorating Contest
Nov. 30-Dec. 31
Enjoy festive holiday window displays throughout Oceanside while you shop, as businesses decorate their storefronts to the theme of ’Tis the Season. A panel of judges will view the displays from Nov. 30-Dec. 6 and vote for first-, second- and third-place winners. The holiday window displays will remain in place through the end of December. Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony & Gift Market
Dec. 5, 5-9 p.m.
During this special Sunset Market, Oceanside will welcome the holiday season with a grand Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6 p.m. at Regal Cinema Plaza in Downtown Oceanside. This annual holiday event will be filled with activities for the whole family. Children can visit with Santa Claus; create a craft; and enjoy the zip line, bounce houses and games.
South O Walkabout
Dec. 11, 5-8 p.m.
The South O Walkabout showcases the shops and restaurants of South Oceanside, encouraging exploration of the many unique shopping and dining experiences offered here with in-store entertainment, specials, activities and more. Extending from Vista Way to Whaley Street on South Coast Highway, the easy walk is about .4 miles each way.
