Vista CA— Early this morning, February 2, 2020 just after 12:20am., Vista Traffic Deputies were dispatched to a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian near the intersection of Vista Village Drive and Wave Drive in the City of Vista.
A 43-year-old male pedestrian was involved in the collision along with an unknown vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene immediately following the collision and has not been located or identified.
The male pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. His identity has been withheld pending the notification of the next of kin.
The investigation and cause of the collision is still under investigation.
The Vista Traffic Division is conducting the investigation. The Sheriff’s Department is asking that anyone who may have witnessed the collision to please contact Deputy Jehl at the Sheriff’s Station in Vista.
