Oceanside CA— The Oceanside Farmers Market will be open May 21, 2020. Farmers Markets are included in the list of essential services as providing an additional food resource for the community. It offers an alternative place to shop that is open air, is spaced out, and does not require a shopping cart to be pushed.
Following local and state guidelines, and to ensure the safety and well-being of attendees and vendors, the Oceanside Farmers Market will look different than what most are used to. The market will consist of farmers and prepackaged food only. There will be less than 40 vendors set up and spaced at least 10 feet apart across three sections, which will allow for appropriate spacing required for social distancing. Market guests will be limited to 50 per section.
Handwashing stations will be placed throughout the market. Vendors are also required to have handwashing stations at their booths and are required to wear masks and gloves.
This is a No Touch Market – vendors will be selecting your chosen produce/products for you. On-site sampling will also not be allowed.
Social distancing will be enforced inside the market venue. Masks will be required to enter the market.
The market is normally a social place. However, during these different and uncertain times, we ask that you send only one person to shop and avoid bringing the whole family. We ask that you shop and then head home as requested per the governor. This will minimize the amount of people onsite. No pets will be allowed. Please bring your own bag.
We look forward to again providing fresh, healthy food for you and your families in an open-air environment.
