Vista CA— Early this morning, May 23, 2020, at about 6:15 a.m., deputies assigned to the Vista Patrol Station responded to 400 Sycamore Avenue, in Vista, for a 9-1-1 call of a woman who had been shot.
When deputies arrived, they located an adult female in a vehicle who was a victim of a gunshot wound. Vista Fire Department transported the female to a local area hospital for treatment.
The woman is still alive. However, due to the gravity of the woman’s injuries, the Sheriff’s Homicide Unit responded and assumed responsibility of the investigation.
The victims name has not been released at this time.
