Carlsbad CA— On Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at 11:23 a.m., the City of Carlsbad Police Department received a 9-1-1 call about a death that occurred in an apartment in the 2500 block of West Ranch Street in Carlsbad.
Upon arrival, officers located a 30 year-old deceased female.
Following an initial investigation, Brehon Quigley, a 44 year-old male co-occupant of the apartment was arrested and booked into the Vista Detention Facility on one count of homicide. He is being held without bail.
The investigation into what occurred and why is ongoing. No additional information is being released at this time.
The identification of the victim is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin by the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
