Carlsbad CA— This afternoon, August 18 at 12:12 p.m., the City of Carlsbad Police Department received a call from a family member of a man who told him he had just killed his wife and that he was going to commit suicide.
The investigation showed the man was traveling around the southern portion of Carlsbad in his car.
Officers followed tracking details around the area and located the vehicle on Estrella de Mar.
Inside the vehicle, officers found a deceased 89-year-old female in the passenger seat and a deceased 92-year-old male in the driver’s seat.
The investigation is in its early stages and is ongoing. There is no further information at this time.
The Medical Examiner’s Office will release the identities.
