Oceanside CA— In compliance with the State and local COVID 19 advisories Oceanside Cultural Arts Foundation, regretfully, has had to postpone its planned January fundraiser. As soon as it is safe for us to celebrate our local arts community together in person, a new date will be announced.
OCAF, partnering with the Oceanside Library will host a Virtual “Write On, Oceanside!” January 14. One of the exciting events open to all is the “6 Word Story” Contest.
Legend has it that Ernest Hemingway bet his literary friends that he could write an entire story in six words. The group put $10.00 each into the pot, then Hemingway wrote, “For sale: baby shoes, never worn.”
NOW, it is your turn! Everyone is invited to try their hand. Come up with your best bite-sized story. Prizes for those judged best.
Deadline January 7. Submit via ocaf.info/write-on/
Then join us on January 14, 2021 at 11 am on Zoom to hear us announce winners of the Write On, Oceanside! writing contests and to watch the Virtual Local Author Showcase. Sign up to receive the link for the Zoom webinar here:
