Carlsbad CA— On February 11, at 1:16 p.m., the City of Carlsbad Police Department was called to the 2700 block of El Camino Real due to a traffic collision. On arrival, officers found a 74-year-old, male bicyclist unconscious in the north bound lanes of El Camino Real just south of Hosp Way.
The City of Carlsbad Police Department continues to actively investigate the incident and at this time, based on evidence and witness statements, accident investigators do not believe the collision was caused by an associated vehicle or was a hit and run.
Investigators are still seeking any additional witnesses to the collision. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Carlsbad Police Department.
