SeaWorld Goes Wild in March with Jack Hanna

San Diego CA— Guests can celebrate the natural world we share and indulge their wild side during SeaWorld Wild Days, weekends in March at SeaWorld® San Diego, as they get up close with the park’s zoological team and learn firsthand the ways they can make a difference with their own everyday actions. Wild Days features an incredible lineup of shows featuring today’s leading animal ambassadors along with immersive, hands-on activities that allow families and friends to get closer than ever to the wild, wonderful world around us!
During the March 7–8 weekend, animal conservationist and TV personality Jack Hanna and SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Animal Ambassador Julie Scardina will introduce amazing animals and share compelling stories about their conservation experiences; March 14–15 is “Sea Rescue” weekend, with SeaWorld team members from the popular ABC show sharing stories of their involvement in the rescue, rehabilitation and return to the wild of marine animals; March 21-22 and March 28-29 are Generation Nature™ (GenN), weekends, featuring high-energy, fun-filled shows packed with cool animal facts designed to inspire kids to become “Game Changers for Nature.” All shows will be performed live at SeaWorld’s Mission Bay Theater with additional presentations at the Wild Days Amphitheater.
All of SeaWorld’s seasonal events are included with park admission, but the best way to enjoy all the fun is to purchase a 2015 SeaWorld Fun Card, which allows guests to come back again and again, all for the price of a single-day admission!

Wild Days Includes:

March 7–8: Jack Hanna and Julie Scardina Weekend

Guests can join world-renowned animal expert Jack Hanna—also referred to as Jungle Jack—to meet some amazing animals and hear their compelling stories. The star of two nationally broadcast TV shows detailing his international animal adventures, Hanna will also share stories about his travels around the world and personal experiences. SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Animal Ambassador Julie Scardina will share stories about her lifelong love of animals and SeaWorld’s commitment to wildlife conservation.

March 14–15: “Sea Rescue” Weekend

SeaWorld team members from the popular ABC show will share stories of their involvement in the rescue, rehabilitation and return to the wild of marine animals. Guests will also learn more about rescued animal ambassadors that were given a second chance at life that now live at SeaWorld, including Peanut the beaver, Ruby the screech owl and Megan the fur seal, at the panel-style discussion.

March 21–22 and 28–29: Generation Nature™ (GenN) Weekends

These two weekends will bring Generation Nature LIVE, a high-energy, fun-filled show for families to enjoy and designed to inspire kids to become “Game Changers for Nature!” Guests will be treated to a personal video message from Bindi Irwin, GenN’s youth animal ambassador. Families can play interactive games to uncover their “Nature IQ,” enjoy special appearances by some of SeaWorld’s favorite animal ambassadors, and learn how to make a difference for wildlife beyond the park’s borders.

Wild Days Amphitheater

Trainers will bring some of SeaWorld’s unique ambassador animals to the Wild Days Amphitheater, located at the back of the park between Cirque Stadium and Bayside Skyride, for up-close encounters with guests. Animals guests may see include Humboldt and Magellanic penguins and the residents of Animal Connections. The Amphitheater will also have booths from Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute, the SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund and SeaWorld’s education & conservation department that will provide attendees with more information on how they can help make a positive change for the environment. SeaWorld’s veterinarians and trainers will also be on hand to share their experiences and inspirational stories of how they got into their field of work. Plus, one-of-kind attractions like the Conservation Station and Education Walk can’t be missed!
In addition to Wild Days, other upcoming seasonal events include SeaWorld’s Seven Seas Food Festival (May 2–3, May 9–10, May 16–17 and May 23–24); Summer Nights (select dates May 23-Sept. 7); SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular® (weekends Sept. 26-Nov. 1); and SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration® (Nov. 21, 2015-Jan. 3, 2016).
SeaWorld is open year-round including holidays. Parking is $16 ($15 if purchased online); $11 for motorcycles; $21 for RVs and Up-Close ($20 for Up-Close if purchased online). Admission is $86 for ages 10 and older; $80 for ages 3–9; free for under 3.
