Solvang CA— The Alisal Guest Ranch and Resort, a sprawling 10,500-acre luxury working dude ranch in California’s Santa Ynez Valley, announces the newest edition of its adored, bi-annual BBQ Bootcamp. For the first time ever, The Alisal—who was just named “Best Destination Resort” by USA TODAY’s 10 Best’s Readers’ Choice Awards—will be hosting an all-female “Cowgirl Edition” of the popular experience, scheduled for October 10-12, 2021. A stellar line-up of award-winning women chefs will accompany The Alisal’s Director of Culinary Operations, Executive Chef, and Grill Master Anthony Endy for three days of cookouts, culinary seminars, immersive cooking demonstrations, and tastings galore.

Teaming up with Chef Endy for the experience, The Alisal will welcome:
- Valerie Gordon, celebrated chocolatier and chef/owner of Valerie Confections in Los Angeles, who will demo how to create grilled, barbecue desserts
- Elizabeth Falkner, television chef personality, activist, and cookbook author, who will host a lunch and demonstration of wood-fired pizzas
- Katie Flannery, half of the father-daughter team behind California-based Flannery Beef, specializing in high-quality, USDA Prime Holstein Beef, who will host a seminar Santa Maria barbecue
- Ellen Bennett, founder of Hedley & Bennett aprons and kitchen gear, and author of “Dream First, Details Later: How to Quit Overthinking & Make it Happen!,” who will host an evening of cocktails, campfires, and conversation underneath the stars
- Katelyn Kaney, owner of local Catteno Bros. jerky and sausage, who will host a reception of drinks and BBQ bites
- Michelle Muñoz, founder of Los Angeles’ beloved Moo’s Craft BBQ, who will lead a meat smoking seminar
The all-inclusive stay at The Alisal Guest Ranch and Resort during BBQ Bootcamp features a variety of seminars and workshops with the celebrity chefs, ranging from meat-smoking techniques and seasoning to dessert confections and breadmaking. Guests will also get to enjoy The Alisal’s signature Breakfast Ride, which takes guests through the rolling hills of the property via horseback or hayride to a historic adobe where an al fresco, chef-prepared breakfast awaits.
Celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, The Alisal has continued to be a leader in BBQ cuisine in the region and beyond (such as recently beating Bobby Flay). The Santa Maria grilling techniques that Chef Endy has mastered at the ranch are unique to the resort’s predominately agricultural and winemaking region. Guests of BBQ Bootcamp will be able to indulge in this regional cuisine, alongside other valley-sourced specialties such as local wines and beers.
