Metrolink operates Sunday schedule
Los Angeles CA— Metrolink announced that on Monday, Sept. 2, Labor Day, it will operate its Sunday schedule and offer the $10 Holiday ticket to make getting to SoCal attractions easier and more economical. The $10 Holiday ticket offers unlimited rides all day.
Metrolink offers direct service to destinations such as Los Angeles Union Station, Downtown Riverside, the San Clemente Pier, San Juan Capistrano and Oceanside along with easy connections to attractions such as Disneyland, Hollywood, Old Pasadena and the Santa Monica Pier. A valid Metrolink ticket allows free transfer to OCTA buses, the Metro bus and rail system in Los Angeles County, and many other transit partners.
People going to the LA County Fair can connect easily to Fairplex in Pomona via the special Fairplex Station. A free shuttle takes Fair-goers directly to the front gates. Metrolink has also added a special 8:30 p.m. weekend departure from the Fairplex Station to Los Angeles Union Station so people can enjoy a full day of fun.
The Labor Day schedule includes service on the Antelope Valley, San Bernardino, Orange County, Inland Empire-Orange County and the 91/Perris Valley lines, excluding the four stations of the Perris Valley extension.
On the Antelope Valley Line, due to scheduled track maintenance to improve safety and reliability, train service will be interrupted between the Via Princessa and Vincent Grade/Acton stations from Aug. 30 through Sept. 2. Metrolink will partner with Inland Empire Stages, H& L Charter Co., and Transit Systems Unlimited to provide bus connection to the affected stations.
The $10 Holiday ticket can be purchased on the Metrolink app or at a ticket vending machine at Metrolink stations under “special ticket options.” Riders on Sept. 2 can also purchase One-Way or Round-Trip tickets for destinations that offer a fare less than $10. Regular weekday fares resume on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
Amtrak will not accept Metrolink monthly passes on Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains from Friday, Aug. 30 – Tuesday, Sept. 3. The popular Rail 2 Rail® Program, which allows Metrolink monthly passholders to travel on Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains within station pairs of their pass at no extra cost goes back into effect on Wednesday, Sept. 4.
