Holiday weekend offers opportunities to explore SoCal by train
Los Angeles CA— Metrolink will operate its Sunday schedule on Monday, Sept. 6 in recognition of the Labor Day national holiday. There will be no service on the Riverside Line nor the Ventura County Line on Labor Day.
Metrolink’s holiday schedule offers the $10 Holiday Pass that provides a full day of travel throughout the Metrolink system for one low price.
Weekend travelers can learn about fun and interesting things to do by visiting Metrolink’s EXPLORE web page for a slew of destinations that are either near or within easy connections to a Metrolink station. Riders can also sign up for Metrolink’s SoCal Explorer rewards program that provides points for tickets purchased leading to free round trips and discounts at Metrolink’s online store.
The popular Rail 2 Rail® program will be suspended from Friday, Sept. 3 through Tuesday, Sept. 7. Rail 2 Rail® allows Metrolink Monthly Pass holders to travel on Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains within station pairs of their pass at no additional charge.
On Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 4 and 5, Metrolink will operate its regular weekend schedule with the $10 Weekend Day Pass. Also, the popular Kids Ride Free on Weekends program is available allowing up to three children, 17 years of age and younger, to ride for free with a paying adult. Kids do not ride free on Labor Day.
