The Harlem Globetrotters offer complimentary game tickets to furloughed federal government employees for upcoming local games in its 2019 Fan Powered North American tour, the team recently announced.

The tour takes the exhibition basketball team to Pechanga Arena in San Diego, 3500 Sports Arena Blvd., on Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. and Feb. 24 at 2 p.m.

“As the Ambassadors of Goodwill, we want to show our support to all those government workers whose paychecks, and by extension their families, are directly impacted,” Globetrotter President Howard Smith said in the team’s announcement.

Federal employees on furlough can show their valid government ID at the box office and receive two complimentary tickets to the game while supplies last. The offer is only valid during the shutdown and is not valid on previously purchased tickets. Quantities are limited. Check with the box office for details.
