A man was killed in an apparent hit-and-run Sunday, April 26, in the area of westbound State Route 76 and Singh Way in Oceanside, the second such incident in as many weeks.
Officers were called to the area of westbound State Route 76 and Singh Way just before 11 a.m. Sunday after a report came in of a person who was not breathing, according to an Oceanside Police Department report. Officers found the victim on the shoulder of the road.
North County Fire Protection District responders pronounced the victim dead just after 11 a.m., Oceanside police reported. Authorities identified the victim as 24-year-old Aaron Lee Keith.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the incident was a fatal hit-and-run collision that likely occurred between 1 and 8 a.m. Sunday, according to the Police Department. Investigators still seek a suspect.
