Residents from coastal San Diego communities such as Encinitas east to San Marcos and elsewhere in the county reported hearing two loud booms around 8:35 p.m. Monday.

Residents from Encinitas east to Escondido and south to La Mesa, Santee and elsewhere in San Diego County reported rattled nerves and shaken buildings after hearing at least one loud boom at about 1:25 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21.
