The California Faculty Association and California State University system reached a tentative agreement Monday night that ended a strike that could have affected CSU San Marcos and campuses across the state for a week.
California Faculty Association leadership has called for a systemwide California State University strike from Jan. 22 to Jan. 26, which would affect the start of classes for campuses such as CSU San Marcos.
The California Faculty Association, which represents instructors at state university campuses including CSU San Marcos and San Diego State, announced on Oct. 30 that a majority of its voting membership had approved the authorization of a strike.
