The San Dieguito Union High School District board will eventually need to come to some decision over this ugly situation: reinstate Superintendent Cheryl James-Ward and incur the wrath of the Asian American community and those who believe she has done irreparable harm, or fire her and incur the wrath of the union, its supporters and foes of Trustee Michael Allman.
Demands for special and recall elections in the San Dieguito Union High School District are a contemptible union power grab and unconscionable waste of public money. Hopefully, constituents will see these divisive tactics for what they are.
A recently appointed San Dieguito Union High School District trustee has been removed from office and the district appears headed for an Area 5 special election to fill the seat.
