The San Dieguito Union High School District announced May 14 that an unknown party gained access to employee email accounts last summer, an incident that predates an August 2019 malware attack on the district’s parent access portal.
The San Dieguito Union High School District’s parent access portal was back online as of Monday, Aug. 19, after the district worked last week to restore security when an attempted malware attack was detected.

Investigators are still determining the cause of a fire that swept through the administration building at Oak Crest Middle School in Encinitas on Oct. 29. It’s the second such fire in the administration building in 36 years, Oak Crest campus records show.
