California State University San Marcos has canceled in-person classes and activities for Monday, Aug. 21, to mitigate potential impacts from Hilary, a hurricane that is expected to hit the San Diego region as a tropical storm over the weekend into the start of the week.

SAN MARCOS: Encinitas group stages ‘Phantom’ at Brubeck

North County San Diego’s first ever community production of “The Phantom of the Opera” now through 13 at the Howard Brubeck Theatre on the Palomar College campus in San Marcos. The production, by Encinitas-based Ovation Theatre, features a cast of performers from across San Diego for a six-show run.

Funds earmarked for Palomar College program with NCTD
