Palliative care institute at CSU San Marcos adds Shiley to its name

A key California State University institute based at Cal State San Marcos has added prominent San Diego philanthropist Darlene Marcos Shiley to its name after a significant donation. The renamed Shiley CSU Institute for Palliative Care became official this month in recognition of Shiley’s $2.6 million gift.

Rhoades School announces second Encinitas campus for middle grades

An additional campus is in the works for The Rhoades School in Encinitas, the school announced May 23. The new 5,300-square-foot middle school facility is set for opening Sept. 3.

Rhoades School student raises funds for Interfaith Community Services
