Investigation, cleanup underway after Encinitas middle school fire

Investigators are still determining the cause of a fire that swept through the administration building at Oak Crest Middle School in Encinitas on Oct. 29. It’s the second such fire in the administration building in 36 years, Oak Crest campus records show.

New building takes shape at San Dieguito as school marks 80 years

San Dieguito High School Academy students returned to many familiar sites when the new school year began at the end of August — including the now-familiar views of construction on campus. The ongoing construction is part of a master renovation project of the school, which began in earnest in January and is scheduled to continue through 2017.
