North Coast Current April 3, 2024
Spring enters full bloom with two of coastal North San Diego County’s biggest events of the season, the Encinitas Spring Street Fair and Carlsbad Village Street Faire. The documentary “Six Triple Eight,” which tells the story of 855 Black women who were sent in 1945 to England and France to clear the backlog of mail in the European Theater of Operations, is being screened by the Vista-based nonprofit Foundation for Women Warriors on Feb. 21 in celebration of Black History Month.
