Update: Gaspar, Schneider on track to win seats

Outgoing Encinitas Mayor Kristin Gaspar has earned enough votes to overtake incumbent Dave Roberts for San Diego County Board of Supervisors District 3, election results show. Leslie Schneider moved ahead of incumbent Patricia Sinay for a seat on the Encinitas Union School Distirct board.

Encinitas Councilwoman Catherine Blakespear retains her sound lead for the city's mayoral seat as housing Measure T fails, according to the San Diego County Registrar of Voters, with 100 percent of precincts reporting, as of 10:30 a.m. Nov. 9. Incumbent Dave Roberts holds a narrow lead over current Encinitas Mayor Kristin Gaspar in the San Diego County Board of Supervisors District 3 race, county returns show. Local school improvement bonds are passing widely.

Blakespear, Kranz, Muir, Horvath ahead in Encinitas council races

Catherine S. Blakespear is on track to be the next mayor of Encinitas, with City Council incumbents Tony Kranz and Mark Muir, and newcomer Tasha Horvath Boerner, joining the dais, according to county election results as of 11:50 Tuesday night. Incumbent Dave Roberts was ahead in the District 3 race for San Diego County supervisor.

Encinitas Measure T, county Measure B losing early

A proposed update to Encinitas’ city housing plan was losing in preliminary results Tuesday night, whole local school bond measures were on track to win, according to early voting results as of 11:50 p.m. Countywide Measure B, in support of building the massive Lilac Hills development in Valley Center, was also headed for defeat, according to early county results.

Incumbents Beth Hergesheimer and Joyce Dalessandro led Tuesday’s vote for two seats on the San Dieguito Union High School District board, according to county election results as of 11:50 Tuesday night. Rimga Viskanta and Patricia S. Sinay led the vote for two board seats in the Encinitas Union School District.

Encinitas school board candidates discuss student yoga, farming
